I felt bad for them ...


one of the LAST things I want to do when it is that cold is grab a metal bat and take hacks at a 85 mph pitch. One poor kid on the other team squared to bunt and got popped by a fastball that ran inside. My first thought was 'well, this weather will hold down the swelling.'

As for my son, I think he is ready to move on. He loves the game but I feel like he has had his fill. He may change his mind next spring and want to play club ball but if he doesn't that is fine. He has had baseball for the past 12 springs of his life so I am betting he is looking forward to having some free time next spring.
